A proposed private research institute for COVID-19 (PASC) and ME/CFS.
We are hoping to set up our laboratory in Europe, subject to funding, with the goal of contributing useful findings to the global research community.

An independent lab we hope to build to study post-viral illness
Our mission
To carry out careful, independent research that improves understanding of COVID-19 and ME/CFS, and to share what we learn with the wider scientific community.

We plan to establish the laboratory in Europe. The exact location will depend on funding and partnerships.
Our approach
Rigorous methods, reproducible results and open sharing of findings. We would rather do fewer things well than many things quickly.

Where we would focus once the lab is funded and operational
COVID-19 (PASC)
We plan to study the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection, including viral persistence, immune responses and biomarkers for Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC).

Proposed facilities
The laboratory capabilities we hope to build
Molecular biology
Would include PCR, sequencing and protein analysis equipment.
Cell culture
Would include incubators, biosafety cabinets and imaging for sterile cell culture work.
Imaging
Would include microscopy for cellular and molecular visualisation.
Data analysis
Would provide computing resources for bioinformatics, statistics and data management.
Sample storage
Would include ultra-low temperature freezers for biological samples.
